Puppies

I would suggest that you meet a number of swissies and swissy people before you decide on a breeder, you want to choose a person that you are totally comfortable with.  There are a number of great articles about swissies that anyone considering a swissy should read.  Make that you understand the various health issues that can effect even the most carefully bred swissy.  Read and understand the breed standard, so you are capable of decided whether a dog is or is not a good example of what a swissy is supposed to be.  Swissies are working dogs, I believe that breeders especially should obtain working titles with their dogs.  A breeder should be able to tell you the strengths and weaknesses of their dogs, the dogs in their dog's pedigree and the sire they have chosen. Personally, I'm interested in producing sturdy, healthy, proper-sized dogs with good working ability and great temperaments.   Finally, a giant, slightly stubborn dog is a challenge not everyone is up for.

My goal (when owning the sire, I don't have any ladies) is to produce puppies that are improvements on their parents, that will make great working dogs and family pets.  My dogs are AKC conformation champions, have passed final hip, elbow, shoulder and eye clearances and participate in working events.  I expect the same for bitches/breeders inquiring to use one of my dogs as a sire.

If you are interested in a puppy please contact me.  I occasionally place puppies sired by one of my boys or can point you in the direction of a breeder who is planning on having puppies soon.

No matter who you decide to purchase your puppy from, please personally verify passing health clearances of the parents (you'll need the registered names or registration numbers), visit www.offa.org to do so.
